The NYPD is searching for the individuals who robbed a 73-year-old man at the Sutphin Boulevard & Parsons/Hillside Avenue subway station.
Authorities say that at approximately 2:06 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, the victim was walking up the stairs to the F train when two men — one of whom was acting as a lookout — followed the victim and grabbed his right rear pocket, causing him to fall down.
One of the men grabbed the victim’s wallet and they both then fled the scene, police said.
The crooks used the victim’s Chase debit card to make an unauthorized transaction, costing about $62, to purchase Tobacco products at a local deli, according to authorities.
The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident, including scratches to his right elbow, police said.
One suspect individual was seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and a gold chain. The second suspect was seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and a blue facemask.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, on Twitter @NYPDTips.
